Lindy McDonnell . BSc(Hons). Lic.Ac. MBAcC & BMAS Member
Lindy is not only a British Acupuncture Council accredited Practitioner, she is also a regular patient of acupuncture for over 20 years.
‘Acupuncture widened my perspective on life and significantly transformed my wellbeing. I am very greatful to be in a position to offer Acupuncture treatment to others in return‘.
With a career history in the creative and performing arts, Lindy finds working within this field requires an understanding of the demands and excesses involved in a hectic lifestyle: ‘While stress and other emotional issues can cause physical symptoms such as muscle aches, swelling, cramping, stiffness, and limited range of motion caused by repetitive strain, its important for us to recognise the causes of physical and emotional stressors reaching a peak of imbalance’.
Lindy graduated from The University of Westminster where she embraced and absorbed valuable experiences from patient treatments at the University’s long running Polyclinic. Another enormous learning experience was gained through her placement at the Gateway (NHS Trust) Acupuncture Community Clinic in Kennington.
Passionate about enabling change and naturally enthusiastic about social dynamics, Lindy offers a patient centered treatment designed for each individual.
Dedicated to the understanding of integrative, complementary medicine and working from a multi-disciplinery perspective, you are offered treatment first and foremost by being listened to and heard & by use of medical acupuncture needles, moxibustion herbs, cupping and healing qi gong techniques.
